This week was awesome in 5th grade! We started Harriet The Spy reading groups. We worked on connections and inferences. We did our prehistory projects. For our prehistory projects he got to choose what kind of project we wanted to do. It was either and online poster, a choose your own adventure story, a speech defending tools uses, or a diary/journal entry. We took a science test on variables. We also took a test for subject and predicates. We started a new math unit which is divisibility. I'm looking forward for next week.

This week was very exciting. We did all sorts of fun stuff including, a framing your thoughts lesson. In that lesson we saw an old women, explaining to us what a subject is. We also learned different multiplication algorithms. My two favorite were lattice and russian peasant. Another cool thing we did was we started a new science lab. The lab was on lifeboats, we made our own lifeboats out of paper cups. We all tried to see how many ml. it was. Mostly we got between 50-55 ml. One of the most fun activities we did was digital citizenship. We made our own digital super heroes. We made comic strips on them.

One interesting thing we did was making our own precepts were we made our lines to live by. We also made a gigantic timeline that had everything important that ever happened. We also are learning about different types of multiplication and using decimals in math. In jewish studies we are starting to read torah. We've bean learning about swingers in science. We've also been starting to learn about about early humans and Lucy the australopithecine. In art we have been sketching mannequins. Thank you for reading this blog post and have a nice day.
